At 7:40 (Greenland local time) this morning we had a brief phone call from Brecht who reported that the first day and night flowed smoothly. "It's a strong group," said Brecht quite proudly.
The team wasted no time in ticking off distance yesterday and progressed a respectable 10 kilometres before setting up their first expedition camp.
Their reward: a faint yet clear view of the Northern Lights.
Jérôme, Marc, Simon and Gino have begun Day 2 with another lucky weather forecast and they intend to take advantage of this good fortune.
Rested and ready, the team determinedly continues on their trek to Sisimiut.
