At 10:30 local time, our Arctic Circle Trail expedition team departed Kangerlussuaq, thus signalling the start of Day 1 of their grand adventure.

They enjoyed a final breakfast and pre-departure briefing at their guesthouse before changing into their expedition clothing and heading out into the pristine Greenland landscape under Brecht's experienced leadership.

Weather conditions are splendid today and spirits among the teammates couldn't be better.
