Steady progress was made yesterday by our Arctic Circle Trail expedition team.
Brecht called this morning to report a solid progression of 16,4 kilometres under sublime weather conditions.
Today our participants will continue along the frozen shores of Amitsorsuaq Lake in the hope of reaching one of the rare but relatively luxurious huts along the trail - Canoe Center - by tonight.
In order to maximize efficiency, the team members have redistributed some equipment weight among themselves, allowing the physically stronger members to pull a bit more kilograms in their sleds.
Brecht is working out some technical issues with our satellite mail service. Once it's in order, we'll be able to share imagery from our team on the trail.
In the meantime, please continue to follow their progress here or in French at Expeditions Unlimited with its live tracking feature.
