After two long days stuck in their tents, our intrepid team burst back into action yesterday.
As soon as the winds from the powerful storm system dissipated, Brecht led José-Luis, Olivier & Pierre into productive modus. They broke down their cozy camp, grabbed their skis and glided 27,4 km further toward their end goal on Greenland's east coast near Isortoq.
Despite the forced wait while the bad weather raged over the past few days, our participants remained focused and determined.
As the above photo shows, Mother Nature gave them a not-to-be-ignored signal yesterday morning that all was now well. Their exit papers were clearly in order.
Today's weather was predicted to also be in their favour and we await news of their additional advancement.
Suffice to say that our team is still on schedule for an early June completion of their grand expedition.
We'll continue to keep you updated on their progress here on our blog and you may also follow our team via the LiveExplorer tracking system at Expeditions Unlimited.
