Day 1 - Departure from Kangerlussuaq
2022-03-01

At approximately 09:00 this morning, Manu and his team began their Arctic Circle Trail Expedition.

They first assembled outside of their accommodations where they were met by vehicles that would take them and their gear to the start of the trail outside of Kangerlussuaq.

Our team began their first steps under magnificent blue skies and by the end of the day they had progressed 13 kilometres. Temperatures this evening during camp setup hovered around -14°C.

Manu called at 18:00 local time with the news that everyone was enjoying the first few moments in their tents, although each person was admittedly exhausted from the day's strenuous activity.

The weather predictions for tomorrow look favourable and our participants are eager to progress further after a solid rest.

You may follow their continued progress at Expeditions Unlimited with its LiveExplorer tracking feature.
