Joke and Henk-Jan departed Wolf's Fang Adventure Camp today for their snowkite discovery trek to Whichaway Camp, a journey that is expected to take approximately 7 days.

After progressing 7 kilometres, Henk-Jan phoned with an update at the following position:

They were excited to get started with this portion of their Antarctic expedition, especially since they were progressing in perfect weather under blue skies with temperatures hovering around -12°C.  Their goal for the day was to advance an additional 9 kilometres before stopping for the night and establishing their first independent campsite, estimated to be about 4 hours away.
