Over the last ten days they covered just over 169 kilometres through pristine Antarctic terrain from Wolf's Fang Adventure Camp. It was a challenging trek due to many factors, but most of all it was the absence of favourable winds that made for an exhausting haul.

This day is also extra special as Joke is celebrating her birthday in this unforgettable place. Happy Birthday, Joke!

If all goes as planned, our duo will begin their travel away from Antarctica tomorrow. They will first fly back to Wolf's Fang Runway where they will board their flight back to Cape Town. Any departure from Antarctica is bittersweet and we're certain that our 7th Continent has imprinted itself into both Joke and Henk-Jan's souls.

For now, we wish them a well-deserved celebration in the absolute luxury of Whichaway Camp and its magnificent surroundings.
