After a 3 hour flight from Wolf's Fang via Twin Otter aircraft, Joke and Henk-Jan stood in awe amongst a colony of thousands of Emperor Penguins and their chicks. While of course maintaining a safe distance, they were able to observe these curiously magnificent creatures for over 2 hours.

This extra excursion provided our duo a profound Antarctic experience, one that will surely inspire and motivate them in the days to come.

If all goes as planned, they will return tonight to Wolf's Fang Camp where they will catch up on some much needed sleep. Tomorrow they are scheduled to depart on their snow-kite journey to Whichaway Camp, a trek that will take them about 7 days to complete.
